Our Pets are indeed members of our families. The number of pet owners has increased consistently over the last twenty years. Sadly, the cost of keeping our pets healthy has increased as well. My nephew raised his German Shepard, Jackson, from the time he was only a puppy. Jackson was a wonderful dog and was good with the children, friendly and protective too. He liked to play fetch with frisbees and flat basketballs. When he was seven years old he contracted an illness which required two blood transfusions at the cost of $800 dollars each. Unfortunately, we still lost him a short time later. The total cost of the vet services was a few thousand dollars. At the time my company didn't offer pet insurance, but I'm proud to announce that we do now.
